Description
Description
Superworm Insect Frass is a powerful soil amendment that strengthens plants and enhances their resistance to pests, particularly fungal gnats. By enriching soil with Frass, you stimulate the production of beneficial enzymes that activate plant defense mechanisms and encourage vigorous growth. It effectively reduces populations of root-feeding nematodes and helps manage fungal diseases, while promoting an active, healthy soil biology. Acting as a natural bloom stimulant, Superworm Frass supports overall plant vitality. A key component of this Frass is chitin, a natural polymer that plays a vital role in plant health. When plants detect chitin, they trigger their immune systems as if responding to insect attacks, naturally fortifying their defenses. Chitin also strengthens cell walls and increases biomass, allowing plants to grow more robustly. Furthermore, it modifies soil conditions to suppress harmful phytopathogenic organisms, creating a more favorable environment for beneficial microbes that aid plant development.
For application, incorporate 3/4 to 1 cup of Superworm Frass per gallon of potting soil to amend new or existing soil. For established plants, spread 2 tablespoons of Frass around the base before watering to provide ongoing nourishment. Root drench treatments with a half cup of Frass per gallon of water every three to four weeks help maintain root health. You can also prepare compost tea by mixing 10 tablespoons of Frass with a cup of worm castings in 5 gallons of dechlorinated water and aerating it with an air stone for 24 hours before use, which promotes a rich microbial environment. Additionally, create a foliar spray by dissolving 1 to 2 tablespoons of Frass into 1 gallon of water, then straining and misting plant leaves. Apply this spray about 30 minutes before lights come on or before direct sunlight exposure, ideally in the cool morning hours to maximize uptake.
Using Superworm Insect Frass regularly supports stronger, healthier plants by enhancing soil health, boosting natural immunity, and encouraging flourishing growth throughout your garden or indoor space.
